CANNONSBURG CHURCH OF CHRIST

~A Scriptural Congregation~

Are you saved?
The Way That Leads To Life
  • Matt 7 13-14  13 Enter ye in at the strait  gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: 14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.
  • Isaiah 35:8   And an highway shall be there, and a way, and it shall be called The way of holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; but it shall be for those: the wayfaring men, though fools, shall not err therein
  • Jer 32:39      And I will give them one heart, and one way, that they may fear me for ever, for the good of them, and of their children after them
  • Prov 16:25    There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.
  • Jer 6:16        Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
  • John 14:6    Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
  • Sinner       Rom 3:23  For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God
  • Teach        John 6:44-45 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day. 45 It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.
  •  Alienated   Eph 4:18  Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart
  • Hear  Mark 12:29  And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
  • Turn Away  Prov 28:9  He that turneth away his ear from hearing the law, even his prayer shall be abomination
  • Believe Heb 11:6  But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him
  • Condemned   Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned
  • Repent  Luke 13:3  I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.
  • Grow worse II Tim 3:13    But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.
  • Confess  Matt 10:32  Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.
  • Deny   Matt 10:33  But whosoever shall deny me before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.
  • Baptism   Mark 16:16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned
  • Reject Council  Luke 7:30  But the Pharisees and lawyers rejected  the counsel of God against themselves, being not baptized of him.
  • Walk  Col 2:16    As ye have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk ye in him:
  • Stand Idle    Matt 20:6 And about the eleventh hour he went out, and found others standing idle, and saith unto them, Why stand ye here all the day idle?
  • Continue  Acts 2:42  And they continued stedfastly in the apostles' doctrine and fellowship, and in breaking of bread, and in prayers.
  •  Neglect  Heb 2 1-3  1 Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip.2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, and every transgression and disobedience received a just recompence of reward; 3 How shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation; which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard him;
  • Add   ll Pet 1:5    And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue; and to virtue knowledge;
  • Need Teaching  Heb 5:12 For when for the time ye ought to be teachers, ye have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.
  • Faithful Rev 2:10  Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life
  • Chains  II Pet 2:4    For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment;

 CROWN  Rev 2:10     Fear none of those things which thou shalt suffer: behold, the devil shall cast some of you into prison, that ye may be tried; and ye shall have tribulation ten days: be thou faithful unto death, and I will give thee a crown of life

LAKE OF FIRE   Rev 21:8    But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

IN CHRIST

Col 1:18  And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence

  2. All Spiritual Blessings  Eph 1:3  Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
  3. Life  I John 5:11    And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son
  4. Reconcilation II Cor 5:14  To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed  unto us the word of reconciliation.
  5. Redemption  Eph 1:7  In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
  6. Salvation  II Tim 2:10  Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction,for instruction in righteousness.
