Smile From God
 Just  today as I came home, so burdened down with care,
it seemed to me the rain was tears that filled the very air.
I took a walk with head bowed down to think the matter through
and ask my heavenly Father to please tell me what to do.
 I spied a little touch of yellow  from the corner of my eye
what WAS that waving at me from a pine limb way up high ?
It was bobbing now and weaving with the current of the breeze
as the air ruffled gently through the boughs of all the trees.
  I watched and as I wondered just what this thing could be ,
suddenly it was loosened and flew right down at me.
Two little eyes , a silly smile and yellow all around,
It flew so low, I just knew that it would touch the ground.
 Lifting with a gust of wind, it again soared toward the sky
always staying out of reach - just a little bit too high !
It bobbled, danced and drifted with each small touch of the air
making me laugh as though a child completely without care.
  A silly smiley faced balloon, torn from a careless hand,
had it really come by chance in my tree to land
or was it sent to ease my care and cause my soul to see
just how much God always loves and daily cares for me?

The Song Leader
for my loving dad

He had a song on his lips.
A melody in his heart.
His voice it sweetly did ring
while singing unto the Lord.

He practiced diligently
Soprano, alto, tenor and bass.
working out each and every part.
Almost always keeping in tune.

While tapping out the rhythm
He tried to keep the singers “in line”
He tried to perfect each song he sang.
While remembering our Lord.

If I close my eyes and reminisce
back to my youngest days
I can hear the sweet voice of the song leader.
This man is very special to me.

His singing  voice is mostly silent now
but if you know him listen to the memories.
Remember how he loved to sing.
It showed this man loves the Lord.

This is to the Christian:
appreciate  your Song leader.
He is a brother to you.
He is a child of God.

I have to believe that someday he will be singing in heaven..
Just as now, with melody in his heart.

 Thank You God For Helping Me See

Oh Thank you God for helping me see.
That my Lord died for all, even me.
And that all things were put under his feet.
Now I can pass that on to people I meet.
Without the Lord I realized not.
In Satan's Hands was where I was caught.
Now forward I look to Heaven above.
Thank you Lord for your amazing Love.
Please dear friend try to understand.
By Faith through baptism are we saved.
Come take his hand.
If you Believe...Go down into the watery
grave. Come out a new creature,
That is how we are saved.
Oh dear friend how great it would be
To hear you say.
Thank you God for helping me see.

Lord's Day Worship

People came together upon the Lord's Day.
Saints were some and some not.

They came and filled up many of the wooden seats.
Empty some seats remained.

Time came for a brother to teach the bible
Jesus, he always preached.

Thank you God a young woman was baptized that day.
Saved was another soul.

There were angels rejoicing in Heaven above.
Rejoiced also the saints.

Very few people came back Lord's Day evening.
Jesus was there. Were you?

Another New Year

It is (current year) another new year a blessing from
heaven above.So resolve dear friend
this new year to be filled with hope,
patience and love.There are many things to
be thankful for there are many blessings to
receive. Did you say "What is this I hear
There are many blessings for me? Yes look
into Gods words for blessings to be had
listen so you may see. Watch how you live
and what you say be careful of every
deed.The days yes swiftly by they do go.
Soon will come the years end. And if it be
the will of the Lord. We will see another
new year again. Another new year maybe good
to look forward to but it is not promised to
usLook to God be loyal without a fuss.
what goals do you have in this another new
year? Is it in Heaven with the Lord to be?
That is the Goal to look forward to 'cause
another year we may not see.

Mirrors

There is a mirror that I look into it is square, the
mirror on the wall.
I look and see the things I want to change so…I change
them.
I may comb my hair or or wash my face to be pleasing to myself or...
I can just cover it up and turn away from it so I can’t see the flaws. When I see dirt I can leave it there and…
Just keep the smudge.
There is another mirror that I look into, Gods words, the mirror of the soul.
I look and see the things that God wants me to change so...I change them.
I try to be more humble and control my tongue to be pleasing to him and his son
I could just cover it up and turn away from it so I cant see my faults.
When I “see" a sin. I can leave it there if I want to...
But the mirror will be my judge...
I think I will do the best I can with the Mirror on the wall
The other mirror...I hope that I’ll always look into it and never turn away.
Sins can be “covered up” but there is nothing hidden from God.
Thanks be to him for washing them by the blood of the Lamb.
Far away from my soul,
Past sins forgotten by God's love.

Hear Have Faith believe

Dark , low, and dreary were the clouds above.
Just as life is without the Lord.
Bold Bright Shining is the sun beyond.
Just as is Life in the Lord.
Not hearing I didn't have Faith.
So how could I believe?
I can see it all clearly now.
God's love there to recieve.
